Choose who will continue oversight once you withdraw as StoryTeller. You can modify or withdraw your designation at any time; you decide. It is like changing a will but much easier; simply re-submit this form. Identifying a designee as soon as possible is encouraged.
Although rare, one's name occasionally changes. Submitting this form with your new name indicated as "Succeeding StoryTeller" will update your profile. You will be issued a replacement Identification Passcode.
DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE ELSE. The identification Passcode serves to authenticate you as the story's active StoryTeller and to confirm your permission for story and profile modifications you initiate occasionally. Peek·into·the·Past furnished yours when you published a story (or restored one from “inactive” status).
"VERIFIED" will appear if details in the fields "StoryTeller (StoryTeller name as published)" and "Your identification passcode" match your Profile Record.
Report a change to your name
When submitting the story components, a field named State Identification allows for an image file of the redacted ID to be uploaded. This is an example of what we ask to be provided (self-image is optional):
ONLY the name will be published. The address will NOT be published or otherwise shared! The copy must show the validation date and official State identification markings.
The address is used solely to send your Identification Passcode via the US Post Office. The Identification Passcode serves to authenticate you as the story's active StoryTeller and to confirm your permission for story and profile modifications you initiate occasionally. DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE.
Your name, as StoryTeller, will be published within the Story.
The address on this State Identification will be reflected in your Profile Record as your current street address.
You may publish your choice of a self-image; it just must resemble that image on your State identification.
If you foresee a problem meeting this requirement, please save your work; before submitting this story, contact your StoryTeller Support Team to open a discussion for a resolution.
Are you electing to designate or withdraw the Story's Succeeding StoryTeller? If so, this designation supersedes that, if any, currently on file.

that shown on the Succeeding StoryTeller's official State ID. If at the time that this Subject Story becomes identified as "inactive," a) the address does not match and b) another individual had notified Peek·into·the·Past of interest in being the succeeding StoryTeller, the other individual might prevail over your designation. We ask you to verify your designee's current address annually and report changes by filing a new designation form. Also, please encourage your designee to inform us of their interest in succeeding in the role; this will help us reach the person when it is time to make the transfer. The Visitor Portal is available for that purpose.
the transfer of my role as StoryTeller for the story subject named below to the individual named below once the story is identified as "inactive." I reserve a right to withdraw or modify this authorization by filing a subsequent designation of the Succeeding StoryTeller.
The role of StoryTeller of an inactive story is open for interested individual to obtain. A story identified as inactive remains published and is available for Visitors to enjoy.
a StoryTeller is non-responsive to Visitor inquiries or Peek·into·the·Past,
any required information of both the subject and StoryTeller is withdrawn,
if requested, a current photo of the subject's memorial with the QR Code present is not provided,
account fees are more than 30 days outstanding,
or a StoryTeller requests the story be identified, as "inactive" and its effective date has been reached.
Once "inactive," the StoryTeller role is vacant, and the withdrawn StoryTeller surrenders control of that story content and does not incur further fees.
In requesting a Story be identified as "Inactive," there is no fee allowance (refund) for any unexpired term of the subscription plan. However, if the request is effective within the first 30 days of the Story being published and a Basic Plan subscription fee has been paid, it will be refunded.
I understand requesting a Story be identified as inactive is not a requirement in making a valid designation of Succeeding StoryTeller. The role of StoryTeller cannot be transferred if the story status is active. A StoryTeller of an active story may be ready to surrender that role; this optional request is used for such a purpose.

I am requesting that effective this date, the story status be identified as "inactive." Upon this date, I relinquish any StoryTeller rights pertinent to this subject story, including the right to hide the story on Peek·into·the·Past from public view.
