For this purpose, when you submit the details for publishing a story, you are asked to show us a heavily redacted copy of your current official State identification. All personal identifying information is blacked-out (obscured) except for the name and address (and the photo if choosing to publish a self-image).
This is an example of what we ask to be provided (self-image is optional):
ONLY the name will be published. The address will NOT be published or otherwise shared! The copy must show the validation date and official State identification markings.
The address is used solely to send you via the US Post Office your Identification Passcode.
The Identification Passcode serves to authenticate you as the story's active StoryTeller and to confirm your permission for story and profile modifications you initiate occasionally. DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE.
Your name, as StoryTeller, will be published within the Story.
You may publish your choice of a self-image; it just must resemble that image on your State identification.
