Homepage » StoryTeller Portal » Request “Inactive” Status
Step 1 of 2
In requesting a Story be identified as "Inactive," there is no fee allowance (refund) for any unexpired term of the subscription plan. However, if the request is effective within the first 30 days of the Story being published and a Basic Plan subscription fee has been paid, it will be refunded.
A story becomes so identified upon any of these occasions:
Once "inactive," the StoryTeller role is vacant, and the withdrawn StoryTeller surrenders control of that story content and does not incur further fees. The role of StoryTeller of an inactive story is eligible for another interested individual to obtain. Later, you may even want to restore the story now being classified as "inactive" to "active" status. Restore A Story From “Inactive” or “Hidden” Status
I understand requesting a story be identified as inactive is not a requirement in making a valid designation of Succeeding StoryTeller. The role of StoryTeller cannot be transferred if the story remains active. A StoryTeller of an active story may be ready to surrender that role; this optional request is used for such a purpose.
Upon the Story becoming reclassified from "Active" to "Inactive" status, media within its Gallery section is limited to eight items. If currently there are more than eight, describe the items you choose to retain in the Gallery.
I am requesting that effective this date, the story status be identified as "inactive." I reserve the right to withdraw or modify this date anytime prior. Upon this date, I relinquish any StoryTeller rights pertinent to this subject story, including the right to hide the story on Peek·into·the·Past from public view.
The role of StoryTeller of an inactive story is eligible for another interested individual to obtain. You yourself, later, may want to restore the story now being classified as "inactive" to "active" status. Restore A Story From “Inactive” or “Hidden” Status
DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE ELSE. Text typed in this field will be hidden.
Identification passcodes are two sets of four alphanumeric characters separated by "+". Peek·into·the·Past mailed you yours when you first published a story (or restored one from “inactive” status).
Your passcode authenticates you as the Story's active StoryTeller and confirms your permission to make occasional story and profile modifications.
"Checking passcode" will appear if details in the fields "StoryTeller" and "Your identification passcode" match your Profile Record.
Double check your passcode by re-entering it above. If you require a replacement passcode, first save your work (see bottom of page); a link which brings you back to this page will be provided. Follow that link; then tap here.
You may designate, modify, or withdraw your designation here.
Switching subscription plans is always an option, from the Basic Plan to the Fixed-Fee Plan or vice versa. Follow the "Switch" link within the Administrative Action options of the StoryTeller's Portal to change the subscription plan. Fixed-Plan subscribers designating, modifying, or withdrawing the Succeeding StoryTeller is free; Basic Plan subscribers pay $15.
Please put here the name, and below address, of the individual, you designate to be a Succeeding StoryTeller. These details must match that appearing on that person's official State identification as of the date the story is classified as "inactive." The designated succeeding StoryTeller will have 90 days following the date this story is identified as "inactive" to otherwise qualify as StoryTeller.
This address must match that shown on the Succeeding StoryTeller's official State ID. If at the time that this Subject Story becomes identified as "inactive," a) the address does not match and b) another individual had notified Peek·into·the·Past of interest in being the succeeding StoryTeller, the other individual might prevail over your designation. It is recommended that you annually verify your designee's current address and report changes by filing a new designation form. Also, it is recommended that your designated individual inform us of their interest in succeeding in the role. The Contact Portal is available for that purpose.
Basic Plan subscribers incur $15 to designate, modify, or withdraw a Succeeding StoryTeller.
Fixed-Fee Plan subscribers designate, modify, or withdraw a Succeeding StoryTeller free of charge.
Before invoicing, the Invoice Total will be reduced by the unredeemed value of your E-Gift Card. To the extent the unredeemed value exceeds the Total, you will be issued a replacement E-Gift card with the original expiration date.
If there is a misstatement, notify Peek·into·the·Past immediately; a credit to your account could be issued if a fee were incurred. Re-submit the filing with the corrected details.
Please look at the responses if the intention is to withdraw the succeeding StoryTeller.
Please, review the entries if the intention is to identify the story as "inactive" or to designate, modify, or withdraw the succeeding StoryTelller.
